New process when applying for a new mobile Prepaid or Postpaid service

As per the new regulations from the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA): All customers are requested to present a valid ID and scan their fingerprint when applying for a new mobile number. This regulation applies for both Prepaid and Postpaid services.

Documents required when applying for a new mobile service:

Nationality Required documents
Bahraini nationals Valid Bahraini ID (CPR)
Non-Bahraini nationals Valid Bahraini ID (CPR)
Valid passport with valid Visa (if applicable)
Valid GCC national ID

*Fingerprint scans will be verified by the Information and eGovernment Authority (IGA)
Charges may apply for successful verifications
Please also note that as part of this new regulation, no more than 10 prepaid lines can be registered under one valid ID
