Batelco Hosts Telecommunications Briefing Session for Al-Khawarizmi Primary Boys School Students

In line with the digital era and the role technology and telecommunications play in this generation’s daily lives, Batelco organized a briefing session at Al-Khawarizmi Primary Boys School. The visit focused on the Kingdom’s telecommunications industry, highlighting key achievements throughout the years, the history of telecom, as well as the evolution of the industry. The briefing session was hosted as part of the company’s commitment to supporting the education sector with a special focus on youth-oriented development programmes.

The visit included interactive sessions between Batelco employees and students who asked diverse questions relating to the field. Students also had the opportunity to view photographs from Batelco’s archive highlighting some of the Kingdom’s most important achievements within the sector. The session concluded with commemorative gifts being presented to the students.

Batelco believes that digital technology can play a vital role in creating an environment that helps students to develop their innovative skills. Batelco is also keen on being part of the local community and educating the youth on the evolution of the ICT industry.
