Batelco Committed to Providing Speed of 1Gpbs for Organisations

Batelco Chairman Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa announced that Batelco, as Bahrain’s leading digital communications provider, is fully committed to the delivery of high speed broadband services for consumers and businesses, in line with the aspirations of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

“Batelco is supporting the project to establish the National Broadband Network using fibre technology, with the aim to provide internet access speeds of not less than 100 Mbps for up to 95% of homes in Bahrain and speeds of 1 Gbps for all government and businesses entities.”

“This is in line with the Government of Bahrain’s 4^th National Telecom plan which was approved by the Council of Ministers headed by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister and led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister under the directive of the Kingdom’s leadership,” added Shaikh Mohamed.
