Batelco Celebrates Successful Learning & Development
**Wide Range of Awards Presented at Annual Batelco Ceremony**
Batelco Training Centrehas celebrated its successful learning and development programmes for 2014 with an award ceremony held recently at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters. During the event, management, staff and a number of learning institutions that are Batelco’s learning partners, were recognised and appreciated for their great efforts and support to Batelco’s Training Centre throughout 2014.
A large number of staff were honoured for their achievements in successfully completing a range of programmes. Included in the honour roll were those who obtained their professional qualifications such as BSc., and also those who achieved certifications such as Cisco, Management & Leadership and Project Management Professional (PMP). Additionally, telecom apprentices were also recognised as part of a new project that was launched in 2014. Furthermore, all employees who completed a minimum of three e-learning courses during 2014 were presented with awards. The highest achievers completed 9 courses during 2014.
The majority of the successful candidates were present at the celebratory event to receive their awards from Batelco Bahrain A/CEO Muna Al Hashemi, Batelco Bahrain HR & Corporate Services General Manager Suhaila Alnowakhda and Batelco Head of HR & Union Relations Shaikh Bader Al Khalifa.
Mrs. Alnowakhda congratulated all the high achievers on their success and offered encouragement to all to continue with more learning programmes during the year ahead.
“Batelco has always emphasised on the benefits of developing and educating staff and empowering them to make progress and move up the career ladder. In 2015 we will continue this learning journey and will aim at expanding our range of training courses,” said Mrs. Alnowakhda.
Shaikh Bader also congratulated all the staff on their achievements and added that the Awards Lunch is a great celebration of learning.
“It gives everyone in the Training Department great pride to see such achievements by our staff. Their effort to enhance their skills whilst carrying out their full time roles at Batelco deserves much praise,” he added.
