Changes to Prepaid Validity
Starting July 13, 2025, all new and existing prepaid numbers will have a maximum cumulative validity of 180 days.

Changes to Validity lifecycle
Starting July 16, 2025, all new prepaid numbers will have the following validity lifecycle

Stage Active Grace – Incoming only Grace – Batelco SMS only* Expiry – Balance clearance Line disconnection

Service Full service (calls, data, sms etc.) Only incoming calls and sms Only Batelco SMS can be received* Remaining balance is removed if inactive Line is permanently disconnected if inactive
•This update applies only to new prepaid activations.
•Customers can refill their number at any stage before line disconnection to restore services.
*Only SMS messages sent by the network operator Batelco will be received. This includes, but is not limited to, service notifications, promotional offers, and important updates.

* All Prepaid refill vouchers are subject to a processing fee. The processing fees, inclusive of VAT, are: 100fils for BD1.100 and 250fils for vouchers greater than BD1.100.
For a promotional period, processing fees will be waived for refill transactions made through Batelco’s digital channels, including the Batelco App, Batelco Website, Batelco Kiosks and Batelco Digital Shops.
Any Prepaid refill voucher above BD40.250 will be discontinued through all channels.
