Batelco Staff Sign up to Support INJAZ 2017-2018 Programme
Batelco has been recognised as one of the foremost organisations in Bahrain when it comes to supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of students and those on the early rungs of the career ladder. In line with this ongoing commitment Batelco Human Resources Division recently led an in-house campaign to introduce the 2017-2018 INJAZ programmes to its staff.
INJAZ Bahrain, which has a very strong reputation for its youth development programmes, continues to grow in importance in Bahrain thanks to its efforts in the education sector. The INJAZ programme is dedicated to educating young people to transform their future through the delivery of experiential learning in key areas such as financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.
Following the campaign, a large number of Batelco staff has already volunteered to support the programme with more joining daily. Volunteers will be given training by INJAZ before they visit educational establishments in Bahrain to introduce programmes to students.
Batelco Group General Manager Human Resources & Development, Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa, said that Batelco places educational programmes high on its agenda and supporting INJAZ is one of the many ways that the Company contributes in developing the local community.
“Supporting young people in their career development is crucial as our youth today will be the leaders in Bahrain’s business sector in the future. It is therefore great to see so many staff volunteers come forward to support the very worthwhile programme.”
“Everyone at Batelco has the chance to be part of INJAZ Bahrain through joining the volunteer programme that helps the youth of Bahrain by equipping them with the relevant knowledge and tools to succeed in their future career journey,” said Shaikh Ahmed.
“Batelco is delighted to be actively involved through its employees, who have so much to offer. INJAZ has always played and continues to play an integral role in supporting Batelco with inspiring, motivating and empowering staff members,” he added.
INJAZ Bahrain is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005 as part of Junior Achievement Worldwide with the aim of empowering young people to own their economic success and be prepared for today’s business challenges. With the help of its partners and volunteers, INJAZ Bahrain impacts thousands of students every year bringing them closer to the real world and opening their minds to their own potential.
