Batelco, as part of its commitment to the community and sports, has taken the lead as the title sponsor for the ongoing Bowling Tournament held in memory of the late Hasan Ramadan. The tournament will take place at Zone Bowling Centre in Sitra Mall, from 25^th May until 6^th June with matches taking place every evening from 8pm.

The Batelco Bowling Tournament is being held for the 7^th successive year in memory of Hasan Ramadan, who is remembered as a bowling legend and to raise support for Mr. Ramadan’s daughter’s education.

Batelco Senior Manager Corporate Affairs Osama Alsaad presented a sponsorship cheque to President of the event organising committee Nasser Mubarak Alsulaiti at a recent meeting held at Batelco in Hamala. In addition to its sponsorship, the Batelco Bowling Team will also participate in the tournament.

Batelco Group General Manager Corporate Affairs Ahmed Al Janahi said that Batelco’s support for community sporting events was an integral part of its social commitment.

“We are keen to support a number of sports activities of this type as they play a very important role in bringing a diverse range of people together which helps to strengthen community bonds,” he added.

Mr. Alsulaiti extended his thanks to Batelco for their generous financial support, without which the tournament could not take place. He also expressed his appreciation that Batelco’s Bowling Team is taking part in the event.

“Batelco Bowling team is very well known on the Bahrain sports scene and their participation will undoubtedly elevate the level of play.”

“The funds raised during last year’s event allowed us to provide a monthly salary for the year to Mr. Ramadan’s daughter and we are hoping for even greater success this year,” he added.
