Batelco Announces its second ‘Bahrain Eye’ Photography Contest

Batelco, Bahrain’s leading communications services provider, has announced the launch of its second photographic competition following the popularity of last year’s inaugural event. Registration for Bahrain Eye which gives participants the chance to develop their skills and win a range of prizes began on 7 November. Those interested should visit the contest website http://portal.batelco.com/bahraineye to register and view all information including related terms and conditions.

Bahrain Eye, organised by Batelco’s Youth Marketing Team, features 6 categories and is open to everyone who is interested in photography. Participants can compete with up to two photos in any or all of the following categories:-

  • Places in Bahrain
  • People in Bahrain
  • Nature and wildlife in Bahrain
  • Tawasul (Communication)
  • Underwater photography
  • Wa6ani (My Country)

Photos can be colour or black & white with a minimum resolution of 2500 pixels and participants may submit up to two photos in each category. Entries can be submitted through the website up until 11 December. Winning photos will enter a display gallery that will take place at Seef Mall on 25, 26 and 27 December.

As part of the contest, a number of FREE workshops and photo walks will take place as a benefit for those who are interested in learning about the basic skills of photography or improving on their skills, under the guidance of expert photographers in the field. Information about the series of available workshops and photo walks is available online. As spaces are limited, entry is not guaranteed; applicants will receive confirmation if their application is successful.

Batelco invites everyone, young and old to participate in the Bahrain Eye Photography Contest, and learn from the professionals in the field with the chance to win prizes and have their work featured at the exhibition.
