Batelco Executives Attend Annual University of Bahrain’s Career Day

Sponsorship of Exhibition is a key part of Batelco’s Commitment to Support Education in Bahrain

Batelco continued with its long standing commitment to educational initiatives by sponsoring the University of Bahrain annual Career Day. A number of Batelco’s Executive Management attended the official opening of the 3-day University of Bahrain Career Day event on 13th March. The event was officially opened by University of Bahrain’s President Dr. Riyad Hamzah who visited the Batelco stand to meet with the Batelco team, prior to touring the exhibition.

As Platinum sponsor of Career Day for 2017, this is the 13th year that Batelco has been the event’s main sponsor. Batelco industry experts were available at the Batelco stand to answer questions and give advice based on their years of experience in their respective fields.

Speaking on the occasion, Batelco Bahrain CEO Eng. Muna Al Hashemi expressed Batelco’s pleasure in supporting the Career Day event which is an iconic event on the Bahrain calendar for students and academic institutions.

“This sponsorship is central to Batelco’s commitment to support education in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Career Day is an ideal opportunity for university students to learn about job opportunities in the telecommunications sector as well as the wider job market,” said Eng. Al Hashemi.

Batelco General Manager Human Resources and Corporate Services Ebru Pilav, who was in attendance at the opening, said that it was very pleasing to note that the UoB students valued the excellent opportunity provided for them to meet with many leading organisations.

“Our young generation will be the leaders of tomorrow and their development to acquire future skills is the most crucial thing. The University of Bahrain, in organising events such as these, is helping to build a better future for Bahraini generations to come,” added Mrs. Pilav.

Also in attendance representing Batelco were Chief Operation Officer Abderrahmane Mounir and Head of Human Resources & Union Relations Shaikh Bader Al Khalifa.
