Batelco Supports BAB’s participation at the IMF Annual Meeting
Bahrain Association of Banks seeks to highlight Bahrain’s World-Class Banking Sector
Batelco, Bahrain’s leading digital solutions provider, as part of its long standing relationship with BAB (Bahrain Association of Banks) is delighted to support the organisation’s participation at the Annual Meetings of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and (WBG) World Bank Group which are taking place in Washington DC, USA, from 7 to 9 October.
The Annual Meetings of the IMF and WBG brings together Ministers of Finance and Development, Central Banks, financial sector executives and academics, to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook and economic development, with about 10,000 people attending over the course of the event.
The Bahrain Association of Banks is hosting a formal reception on the 8 October at the Fairmont in Washington D.C., which will be led by high ranking officials including the Minister of Finance HE Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain HE Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj and BAB Chairman Mr. Abdul Razak Al Qassim. The reception will use this global platform to promote Bahrain as an important regional and international financial centre and investment destination and also highlight the ease of doing business in the Kingdom.
Batelco Bahrain CEO Eng. Muna Al Hashemi presented a sponsorship cheque to BAB Chief Executive Officer Dr. Waheed Al Qassim at a recent meeting held at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters.
Mrs. Al Hashemi said that Batelco was very pleased to support Bahrain Association of Banks’ efforts to highlight Bahrain’s world-class banking sector at the Annual Meetings in Washington.
