Winner of Batelco’s ‘Always First, Always Batelco’ Campaign Announced
**Grand Prize Trip to Spanish Grand Prix**
Batelco has announced the grand prize winner of its Always First, Always Batelco social media campaign. Batelco, a proud official partner of the Bahrain International Circuit, held a week long social media prize winning campaign under the theme of Always First, Always Batelco, which featured a daily high value prize and also a grand prize of a trip to the Spanish Grand Prix with flight, accommodation and entry to the event.
The winner, Abdulla Mahmood, was presented with the Grand Prize by Batelco Senior Manager Marketing and Communications Abdulla Abuidrees at a ceremony held at Batelco Headquarters in Hamala.
The Always First, Always Batelco campaign was designed in line with Batelco’s efforts to deliver the most sought after services ahead of its competitors. Batelco was first in the Kingdom to deliver super fast Broadband speed with the launch of 100Mbps Home Broadband during 2013. Batelco began rolling out the service early in 2013 via fibre optic (GPON) technology, which delivers superfast speed access to the Internet.
Batelco was also first in the Kingdom to launch superfast 4G LTE for its customers at the beginning of 2013. The introduction marked a new era for mobile phone services by providing the ultimate mobile experience with amazing download speeds.
The ‘Always First, Always Batelco’ Social Media campaign took place during the last week of March. To participate was easy; every day Batelco posted information about a specific location on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The aim was to find the location, with the first person to reach the correct place taking home the daily prize. Each day, the first 10 people to reach the designated location were awarded a number of points, with the Grand Prize going to the person with the most points at the end of the campaign.
