**Gifts to Make Dreams Come True**

Batelco employees have made dreams come true for a number of children under the umbrella of Dreams Society by participating in a cooking contest to raise funds, held at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters.

The Dreams Society strives to bring dreams to reality for children suffering from serious illnesses by providing special gifts or experiences that have been requested by the children such as gaming consoles, high value devices and holidays abroad.

To raise funds Batelco’s employees were invited to participate in an Eat &Vote contest to show off their culinary skills by entering in one or more category which included appetisers, main courses and desserts. Hundreds of staff attended the event and paid a minimum of 500 fils, with many contributing more, to taste the dishes and vote for their favourites. For every 500 fils raised, Batelco contributed BD1 to swell the funds which were used to purchase Play Station Consoles and high value devices such as iPhones and iPads for Dreams Society children.

Dreams Society Head of the Medical Committee & Board Member Dr. Heba Abdulwahab Mohamed visited Batelco to receive the gifts which the Society will deliver to a number of children.

Looking after the needs of children is very close to Batelco’s heart with the Company contributing to health and education initiatives on an ongoing basis.  On this occasion, Batelco was delighted to add to the efforts of its staff by adding an amount equivalent to double the sum raised at the Eat & Vote contest.
