Manama, Bahrain: Batelco by Beyon hosted an exclusive event for its local and international customers which coincided with Touchdown Middle East, the region’s data center conference.  The event provided a unique platform to highlight Batelco’s latest digital infrastructure milestone, the nation’s first Whitespace Data Centre.

The evening brought together industry leaders, technology partners, and key stakeholders to explore the future of data infrastructure in Bahrain and the wider region. During the event, Batelco CEO Maitham Abdulla outlined the company’s strategic initiatives in digital infrastructure and its commitment to investing in next-generation data centre capabilities. A feature presentation showcased Batelco’s Whitespace Data Centre located in Askar, underscoring the company’s investment in advanced technologies and focus on operational excellence, security, and sustainability.

The Whitespace Data Centre completion and commissioning was recently announced during Gateway Gulf 2025, marking a defining milestone in Batelco’s data centre journey and a pivotal step in Beyon’s mission to accelerate Bahrain’s digital transformation and expand its world-class digital infrastructure footprint. The Batelco by Beyon White Space Data Centre is the largest and most power-dense facility in Bahrain, it spans 6,000 sqm and forms part of Beyon’s Data Oasis, a 140,000 sqm site located in southern Bahrain. The facility provides a robust, scalable environment for enterprises and hyperscalers seeking advanced hosting and connectivity solutions.
