Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: Batelco by Beyon has signed an agreement with Naseej BSC (c) to introduce Smart Home Technology across Naseej’s new residential development in Salman City.  The project is comprised of 24 housing units which are currently under construction as part of the Government Land Development Rights Programme in partnership with the private sector. The initiative marks the first implementation of smart home technology within a housing project in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The agreement was signed during Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2026 by Abdulla Danesh, Chief Enterprise Officer at Batelco, and Ayman Buheji, Chief Development Officer at Naseej, in the presence of representatives from both companies.

The smart home solutions are designed to deliver a more convenient, comfortable, and efficient residential experience by enabling Bahraini families to intelligently manage a range of home systems, including lighting, air conditioning, security and surveillance, as well as selected household appliances through smart mobile applications, creating a more flexible and secure living environment.

The 24-unit residential project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027 and is expected to stand as a flagship housing development delivered in partnership with the government in the Northern Governorate. The project has been designed in accordance with the highest standards of quality and sustainability, offering modern homes that meet the evolving needs of Bahraini families through thoughtful architectural design, efficient use of space, and integrated services.
