Batelco Provides First Aid Training for Bahrain Polytechnic Staff
Training provided as part of Batelco’s Community Outreach Programme
Batelco Bahrain has sponsored First Aid training for staff of Bahrain Polytechnic, arranged by Batelco’s Health & Safety section as part of the Company’s Community Outreach Programme. The Training took place recently at Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters and was led by Vicky Honar, a professional trainer from the First Aid Box (FAB), Bahrain’s one-stop-shop for all first aid needs.
Twenty Polytechnic staff attended to benefit from the valuable experience and were issued with certificates at the end of the programme. The certificates have a three-year validity endorsed by High filed First Aid, UK.
FAB’s trainers are UK qualified Registered Nurses/Midwives and / or Paramedics with many years of knowledge and experience and attend regular professional development training to ensure their skills are up-to-date. Their courses are delivered in a fun, relaxed and enjoyable way using up-to-date and hygienic equipment and include plenty of ‘hands on’ practice and real life scenarios.
Batelco Group General Manager Human Resources & Development, Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that the Company’s Health & Safety Section provides a very crucial service with a comprehensive plan to deal with issues that may arise within Batelco’s premises in addition to its efforts that support the local community.
“The purpose of the first aid training is to empower the participants through exercises and knowledge to be able to handle all circumstances that might arise during a medical emergency,” he added.
