In line with the Holy month of Ramadan Batelco Staff Volunteers Visit the Elderly at Muharraq Social Welfare Centre
As part of its CSR programme for the holy month of Ramadan, Batelco announced that a number of its employees visited the Muharraq Social Welfare Centre to spend time with the elderly residents and distribute gifts.
The elderly play a very prominent role in Bahraini family life and Batelco was very pleased to present gifts to them to show appreciation for their efforts in building the Kingdom of Bahrain that we have today.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Labour and Social Development established the Muharraq Social Welfare Centre in 1995 at the expense of Mr. Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamad Al Zamil. The Centre is headed by a board of eminent personalities with a history in the social field and long experience in service and charitable work.
The Muharraq Social Welfare Centre is a charitable organization providing health, social, psychological and recreational services to the elderly from the Kingdom of Bahrain and it boasts an administrative and technical staff that includes all professional specialties including social workers, psychologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, nurses and others.
