Batelco Announces its 4th ‘Bahrain Eye’ Photography Contest

Batelco, in line with its commitment to youth and the arts, and in partnership with the Capital Governorate, The Avenues, Huawei, Ashraf and Nikon, has announced the launch of its fourth photographic competition.

Registration for Bahrain Eye, which gives participants the chance to develop their skills and win a range of prizes, began on 5th December 2018. Those interested should visit the contest website https://www.e-services.com.bh/Bahraineye/Home to register and view all information including terms and conditions.

Bahrain Eye features four categories and is open to everyone who is interested in photography. Participants can compete with up to three photos in any or all of the following categories:-
• People in Bahrain
• My Bahrain
• Communication
• Mobile Photography

Photos can be colour or black & white with a minimum resolution of 2500 pixels and participants may submit up to three photos in each category. Photos can be submitted through the website until 2 January 2019. The winning photos will be displayed at a specially created gallery at The Avenues Mall Bahrain from 10 to 24 January 2019.

As part of the contest, a number of FREE workshops and photo walks will take place as a benefit for those who are interested in learning about the basic skills of photography or improving their skills, under the guidance of expert photographers in the field. The Workshop titles are Basic Photography, Kids photography, Studio Lighting for Beauty & Fashion, Photoshop and Light room retouching and additionally, a photo walk will take place in Muharraq.

Information about the series of available workshops and photo walks is available online. As spaces are limited, booking is necessary; applicants will receive confirmation if their application is successful.

Batelco invites everyone, young and old to participate in the Bahrain Eye Photography Contest, and learn from the professionals in the field with the chance to win prizes and have their work featured at the exhibition.
