Batelco Praises the Role of Women on Bahraini Women’s Day
Batelco, as an equal opportunities employer, is very proud of the many successes achieved by its ladies with many of them rising through the ranks to attain supervisory, management and senior executive roles. Notable amongst them is Eng. Muna Al Hashemi who was appointed to the role of Batelco Bahrain CEO in August 2015.
Furthermore, in recognition of her achievements Eng. Al Hashemi was appointed to the board of the Supreme Council for Women in a decree issued by HM the King earlier this week.
Career advancement is made possible at Batelco because the Company prides itself in being an equal opportunities organisation that empowers all its ladies by offering training and development programmes and encouraging them to avail of every opportunity to enhance their lives.
Eng. Al Hashemi extended congratulations to all Batelco’s ladies on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day saying that she was proud to work alongside so many inspirational and dedicated women.
“Batelco is among the most supportive organisations in the Kingdom of Bahrain when it comes to promoting women in the workplace. Everyone at Batelco, whether male or female, is encouraged to aim high and promotions are based on ability not gender,” she said.
“We also take this opportunity on Bahraini Women’s Day to give praise to the Bahrain Supreme Council for Women and HRH Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King and President of the SCW for their efforts in fostering the position and roles of women in Bahraini Society.”
“Shaikha Sabeeka’s participation at key local, regional and international events has done so much to highlight Bahrain and the valued place that women hold in Bahraini society,” she added.
