Batelco Provides Fire Safety Training for Polytechnic Staff

Training Part of Batelco’s Community Outreach Programme

Batelco’s Health and Safety Section, has provided fire safety training for staff of Bahrain Polytechnic, as part of the Company’s Community Outreach Programme. The group of staff visited Batelco’s Hamala Headquarters to learn about Fire Fighting in order to enhance their emergency training procedures at the Polytechnic.

Batelco Health & Safety Manager Sayed Ebrahim Al Hashimi conducted the valuable training for the Polytechnic to familiarize them with the various types of portable fire extinguishers and their use in treating the different types of fire that may occur.

Group General Manager Human Resources & Development, Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that Batelco was delighted to support fire safety training for staff of the Polytechnic to ensure they are able to support others during any emergency situation.

“The purpose of the fire safety training is to empower employees through tactical exercises and necessary knowledge to be able to handle all circumstances that might arise during emergencies such as fire,” he added.

“The specialist fire safety training service provided as part of the Community Outreach Programme, is an invaluable asset for places such as the Bahrain Polytechnic, where the care of young people is of the utmost importance,” Shaikh Ahmed concluded
