Batelco Summer Training Programme 2015 Kicks Off
**Valuable Work Experience for Young Minds**
As part of its ongoing commitment to education and young Bahrainis, Batelco has launched its Summer Training Programme 2015. The programme began on 1st July and will run until the end of August.
The training programme aims to provide Bahraini students with the opportunity to gain the necessary work experience that qualifies them to join the work market. Also, this training is part of their university degree or diploma.
The participating students will be placed in different departments throughout Batelco to allow them the chance to experience a professional working environment and gain an insight into how business operates based on market demands.
Batelco General Manager Human Resources & Corporate Services Suhaila Alnowakhda said that Batelco is always keen to train students on the various skills that will increase their employment opportunities in the future.
“At Batelco, we strongly believe in developing local talents and our summer training programme aims to prepare students for their professional careers by providing such practical training in a real-life environment to enhance their educational achievements,” she concluded
Sh.Bader AlKhalifa, Head of Human Resources and Union Relations said “The program will include the following skills to be covered such as communications, team work, preparation of reports and timeliness of completion of tasks among others. Academic achievement alone is insufficient when looking for a job; it requires the addition of practical experience, and that’s exactly the type of experience we provide for these students to prepare them for the labour market.”
Batelco annually receives dozens of students from Bahraini universities and institutes to work under the supervision of Batelco’s experienced staff with the aim of providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge that qualify them for employment after they complete their academic studies.
