Management and Leadership Development Programme Success at Batelco

**Over 160 Batelco Employees Achieve ILM Certification**

Batelco, Bahrain’s leading communication Solutions Company continuously reviews the way the day-to-day business of the organisation is managed, and accordingly arranges ongoing training programmes to ensure those in management rolls have the relevant skills.

In line with Batelco’s key objective of developing talent, this flagship programme, conducted by EMIC, is designed to teach participants how to be outstanding leaders within the organization. The programme, which is accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), has been running for several years and to date nine groups have completed the programme with over 160 employees achieving ILM certification.

The Leadership Development Programme consists of six two-day modules that include numerous individual and group exercises that bring the training to life and ensure that participants can translate the principles into a personal plan of action. The principles and practices taught in this programme are based upon observation and research from the foremost authorities in the field of leadership and management.

The learning outcomes from the programme ensure that participants will:

  • Learn and Apply Effective Coaching Techniques.
  • Understand financial statements and be able to manage and control budgets.
  • Manage and Resolve Conflict.

Batelco recently held an awards ceremony at which Batelco Manager HR Training & Development, Catriona Shaw, congratulated the successful participants and presented certificates to them. Furthermore, projects that course participants completed were showcased on the occasion.

Batelco Bahrain Head of Human Resources and Union Relations Shaikh Bader Al Khalifa speaking on the occasion said that he was proud of Batelco’s employees who continuously strive to enhance their skills while holding down full time demanding rolls.
